I just got quoted by them and I can get a much better policy with them that's $100 cheaper than what I pay with Erie.

Before I make a decision I wanted to hear of personal experiences dealing allstate.

Overpriced like a motherfucker.

It's only cheaper because you're with Erie, who is overpriced like 1.5 motherfuckers.

Get a quote from Progressive. They've seemed to me to be the all-around most consistently fair, if not always the 'best' or cheapest. Just...not crap and not rape.

But do they pay or give you a ration of crap?

I really need to price shop.

I'm more interested in the Quality of service at this point than the price considering that I already have that figured out.

If I wanted insurance that was drastically cheaper than what I have, I could get it by answering the junk mail that I constantly get from Geico. But I haven't heard too many good things from Geico's customers which is why I don't insure with them.

On paper Allstate will give me better coverage at a cheaper price. So what I want to know is whether they meet customer expectations when it's time to pay out.

I used to have them before they got more expensive. Same with Geico. Now with Liberty Mutual. Combined with homeowner's, I was able to save $400/yr. You really do have to shop around every few years to get the best rate.

Have had Allstate for almost 20 years with 0 problems with claims or customer service. If I were just looking at price, I'd go elsewhere, but my local agent has always jumped up every time I've called with a question or needed help.
