How is 24?

I've seen tons of talk about this but never paid attention. What's it all about? I'm addicted to Lost but I've seen all the episodes so many times and now with the break before the next episode... I don't have much to watch. Problem is, I figure I'd need to watch 24 from season 1 episode 1 to really get into it. But I could pick up a couple of discs from the movie store.

What's it about mostly?
 
I became a believer last year.

All it took was one episode. Just one. I accidently stumbled apon it on the 3rd episode of last season, and I went out and bought season 1 the next day. It can be found for 25, so it's probably cheaper to buy than rent, unless you have some unlimted rental plan.

You won't regret watching.

Over the last year, I got 1...2...3...4....5...6..7.... yep 7 people hooked.

The plot line involves Jack Bauer, a counter-terrorist agent working for CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit), working against the clock to find and stop terrorists. Each episode will leave you begging for more.
 
i have no idea...the only reason why i got cable was b/c i wanted to get cable internet. I wish i could watch TV tonight, but I have too much HW🙁
 
My Fiancee and I enjoy it...

It's far fetched and really unbelievable but for some reason I always want to watch the next episode...
 
Sounds like a plot that I would be interested in. I think I'll just rent the first disc or two since its half price today IIRC, then if I like it I will buy or just go ahead and start some massive downloading. 🙂

one thing about 24: if they ever mention "setting up a perimiter" - rest assured, whatever they were trying to keep in, WILL get out.
 
Don't watch one season after another or you're going to get real bored with it.

I just finished season 4 on Monday night... I've been DVR'ing season 5 but haven't watched it. I hope they get some new ideas in terms of making the plot unfold. It seems like every other episode they find and violently interogate some random person as a means to advance the plot. If it's not that, they find a piece of encrypted or damaged electronics to work with.

Yep, Habib Marwan in Season 4 escapes 3 times IIRC.
