How important is Raid 0?

Hi.
Buying a new comp in about 2 weeks. Can not decide on either 60GB HD or two 40GB HDs in a Raid 0. Is the Raid worth the extra $50 - $70 ?

Can you also tell me if I will notice a difference in performance with 2100 DDR RAM or 2700 DDR RAM? Is 2700 alot better/faster?

I play online RPGs and online/offline Strategy games mostly (if that matters), and the system is going to include, (if it matters)
