how hot will a tbird run?

will a 1ghz tbird (non overclocked) run any hotter than say a...750, 800, 950 or any other cpu overclocked to 1ghz?

well it probably won't run much hotter than any other T-Bird but will run hotter than a lesser clocked for sure but not by much. It will run Hotter than a comparable P-3 for sure that's a problem that AMD has to address if there going to scale there processor up much higher than they have.

Actually AMDs upcomming Palomino chips seems to be taking care of the heat issue.
According to the register a 1500MHz Palomino with passive heatsink runs cool enough to touch.

On the original Q .. if both are at standard voltage, there shouldn't be any difference, however it's common when o/c'in to bump the voltage a bit and then heat becomes an issue.
