how hot is too hot (gtx460)

I've been folding on them for a while...actually 24/7 for a while now. I just noticed right now (at night, when its allgedly cold) that the temps (well, i didn't just notice it, I got curious and used GPU-Z) are 73,77degC for my sli setup.

Is that too hot these cards? I have the galaxy versions and it looks like the fan RPMs at maximum. They aren't overclocked or anything. I'm just concerned I might be pushing that thermal barrier.

edit:

looks like from their websites i'm good up to ~100 degC. I'll have to log them all day and then come out and plot the data to see how hot it gets. As summer rolls around i might not be able to fold on my GPUs for fear of nuking them; no AC where I am 🙁

mine hot 70-80c when stress testing and 65-70 gaming so i think you are fine, i have never had any heat related issues with then at those temps.

I run 87, 85 for my 6970s in Dragon Age 2 and Crysis. My 285 SSCs ran in the 95C+ range like a champ, even hit 105C in Crysis 😀

Wow, you must like having molten silicon nearby in case you need to throw it at someone.

Anything beyond 90C is cause for concern, really. >.<
