My motherboard doesn't have a temperature sensor and so I can't check the temperature. I'm just paranoid so I just wanted to know how hot a heatsink is supposed to get. I have a Zalman 7000-AlCu sitting on an Athlon 64 2800+ @ 1.98 GHz. The Zalman is cranked and I have artic silver 5 on it. The heat sink isnt burning hot or even hot. Just moderately warm. Is this ok?

yeah it is, I have the same cooler on a 3200+ and it gets slightly warm at load (cpu around 45C or so).
