My Albatron GF FX5900 dissipates too much heat for my Micro ATX case and my system temp ends up around 45c my CPU at 70c and my videocard at 80c .. thats when i'm gaming for a while

If i leave the side panel open the thing never gets that hot but i still find theres an extreme amounts of heat coming from the video card and it will burn your finger if you touch the heat sink for longer then 2 seconds this is a pic of the Micro ATX Case I?m using i'm thinking i will be selling my card to a friend who has a Standard ATX case and lots of fans the board comes with a GF4 card that should play game well enough until the NV40 and R420 come out and i'll be buying the card out of those that runs the coolest :) fingers crossed they are not small heaters like the high end cards that are out now.. do any of you people have the same problem and how have you solved it?

PS: I have an AthlonXP 2500+ NOTHING IN THE SYSTEM overclocked 2x 60mm fans at the back 1x 80mm fan at the front.

That is one hot system. How's the airflow inside of the case? You don't have wires or cables in the way? I doubt the upcoming cards are going to be any cooler. If anything they'll run hotter. You would need something slower if you want cooler. Like those cards that run with no fan on the heatsink. They musn't run that hot if no fan is required.

Out of interest, how do you have those fans set up?? You should have a set up of fans that creates airflow in a set direction within the case. For example, Having the 80mm fan at the front sucking air in and the 2x60mm fans at the back pushing air out of the case..... OR vice-versa can be done, but you need to maintain some sort of direction.

If you have all the fans blowing in or sucking out, they will not perform as good as they all could.

Its set up 2 at the black blowing out 1 at the front blowing in ..... but the fans are sooo week i dont think they do jack for cooling the comp!

I dont want to make my comp noisy buy putting in faster fans i would rather have a slower CPU/Videocard and system befor i get a noisier comp!

I pitty those people who have a Micro ATX case and play games because those things must run even hotter then my system geeezzzz poor guys!

You could try setting up the fan at the front of the case at an angle so that it blows directly into the region that generates the most heat, or setting up another 80/60mm fan. If you have any spare backing plates, drilling a hole in the bottom end means that you can use them as great upright supports to hold fans, while the 90' bend at the bottom with the screw hole in it allows easy mounting onto a spare motherboard support hole, etc.

Does the case have room for an exhaust fan on top? Maybe add some vent holes on the side the video card is.
