How high would you go with stock cooler?

I keep 37-40c idle and am guessing 47-50 under load with settings in my sig. Curious how high should one go on stock cooling? If it's not a good idea to go higher whats the best bang for your buck cooler that doesn't require taking off the stock mounting bracket?

I'm at 2.8(1.425v) with stock cooling. I get to 52C full load on a warm day, with RM clock idling down to 4x Multi and 0.9v it idles ~26C.

My X2 4200+ is at 2.618ghz, 1.475v on the stock heatsink, 51c max load.
