I'm going to say 4.3-5
I run @ 4.6 daily though 😀
I don't think it even gets up to 60c..
No AVX=no super-duper heat.
Best thing I have atm for gaming..maybe :awe:
I haven't tried it on any "heavy" games yet.

They represent different approaches, and one will sometimes outperform the other, depending on what you want to do. Look at benchmarks of things that are like what you do, and decide if you want more, slower cores, or fewer faster ones.
 
From benchmarks I have checked there is overwhelming evidence that the i3 haswell destroys a FX 6300 even in games that will use more than 4 cores.

The i3 destroys the 6 core AMD even though the i3 is only a quad core. 2 virtual and 2 physical they destroy 6 physical amd cores

Shame on AMD
