How high can a 8RDA+ 1.1 hit?

Got a v1.1 running at 200FSB and am getting a pretested CPU known to hit 220+FSB. Curious if these can hit past 200FSB or should I be looking into another board?

Overclocking anything is the same as overclocking processors. One 8RDA+ might hit 220fsb, and the next may very well struggle to make it to 200fsb. It's pretty much just luck, when it comes to overclocking. With that said, I have heard of a few people who said that their 8RDA+'s would do 220, so you may very well already have a board that will go as high as the processor that you're getting, assuming whoever's selling it to you is being honest about it being able to hit 220.

As has been said, some can make it to 200, some can exceed it, others can't even make it to 200. The 8RDA+'s I had needed a VDD mod to give the chipset more power in order to be stable at 200MHz.

Same here. I could only go to 195MHz on my 8RDA+ without jacking up Vdd (mod). But at 195MHz FSB I was able to o/c the snot out of the 2100+ Tbred B I had in it.

If your 8RDA+ 1.1 is a relatively new one (i.e. made in last March or April), good chance it'd be using C1 stepping, which could hit > 210MHz at default Vdd easily. Mine one could go as high as 235MHz with very good stability and does need modding the Vdd.

Mine does 220. Easily. I did not try higher because my BH-5 cannot do that without errors. No modding.
