Dunno. I messed it up about 15 years ago being manly, and bullpinning stakes into compacted road base. I was also too manly to go to doctor even though I had insurance. It was really bad for months, but started getting tolerable when I hooked a heating pad to an inverter in the truck, and kept that on whenever I was in there. It's always sore, but when it's good I don't notice it. When it's bad, dropping something on the floor might as well fall to New Jersey for all the chance I have of retrieving it.
I suspect it's a ruptured disc, or something similar, but I've never had it looked at. I don't trust chiropractors, and doctors only give narcotics and surgery, and I'm not interested in either of them. I suppose I could try PT, but I'd have to go to a doctor first to find out what's really wrong. That'll have to wait until I get insurance if I pursue that route.

I agree, but not any PT. I dealt with it many times.
I found an Aqua Therapy place that fixed me. It's not just for people with poor mobility.
However, she is a doctor and part of one of the major Surgical places in Palm Beach.
She does TENS, laser, IR, minerals/rubs, rolling pin, standing on mobile platforms, etc.
Your therapy is really a workout.
That said, so many I have seen in PT just bitch and moan and even just walk out of it.
They never get better.

That one time it failed, I had a bucket handle tear of the meniscus, and the "doctor" misdiagnosed it. I went to a doctor I knew back in my home town and he got me in quickly for surgery.
I got bills from the first quack and his PT (in the same office, hmm?) and took them in on crutches post-surgery, and suggested strongly that he eat both bills. I never heard another word about it

It's early, I'll talk yesterday. I mowed the lawn with a push mower, trimmed the edges with a push edger. Road my bike into the hills, again no engine. Washed all my gloves. Didn't complain to anybody.
