How Hard is the ACT?

I'm taking the Pre-ACT soon, yeah it doesn't affect anything, but I'm curious what you guys think of it.

It's easy if you can decode all the damn questions.

Those ACT test maker guys get their jollies out of wording the questions in the most confusing way possible, damn them.

I was hungover and running on 4 hours sleep when I took the ACTs ... I got a 30 ... I also got a 1540 on the SATs, though ... so ... take yer pick.

I dunno, I do differently on the ACT than on the SAT. The ACT seemed a lot easier, but I got a lower score when I converted it to SAT. I got a 26, =( but on SATs I got a 1260.

Should I even bother to take it? It seems to me that most competitive colleges don't even take a look at it--for example I read on the Berkeley web site something along the lines of: You must include SAT scores, ACT scores are so optional we'll probably forget to look at them.
