so im decent with computers, but no expert. i mean i have installed my own video cards, and ram, but thats about it... now i bought a new case for my system on ebay, and i want to put it together. how hard would it be to take the guts out of my old box, and put them into the new one? thanks in advance for the help...

also, any pointers on things to avoid, or look out for?

Don't worry it's not hard at all, once you get the motherboard out its cake. Just make sure not to rush it and find a good tutorial online.

Well, since you don't have to reinstall any software, it's not too bad. You keep the processor, ram, and hsf on the board, and then you unscrew and rescrew it after having removed the PCI/AGP cards. Afterwards, have the PCI/AGP cards in the same position in the new case, and then move your drives. Connect the power/interfaces/case front connections, and done :)

I would recommend noting where everything is hooked up to your motherboard and/or power supply before stripping your old case down.

Most importantly, take your time!

Just make sure your mobo isn't touching metal and you should be fine
