How hard is it an mp3 player directly into your car....

I've never had much luck with FM transmitters. Is it hard to get a direct line into your car?

How do you do it?

You need a aftermarket headunit with aux inputs. If you have an ipod, you can go one step further if your HU is compatible and get a cable to control thje ipod from the HU.

I put one of these in a 2006 Honda Accord. Controls and charges the iPod from the steering wheel. Pretty nice.

Does your car have a tape player? use a Tape adapter

if u have a cassette player in your car you can get one of those things that plugs into the headphone jack and the other end (looks like a cassette) goes into the player...i have to do that in one of my parent's cars lol.

I built a cable to connect to the IPBus on the back of my Pioneer head unit. Took all of about 5 minutes It took longer to change the text "AUX" to "ZUNE" afterwards

It depends on the car. There is a Aux Mod aftermarket addon for my Mazda 3 (the 2007 model has a Aux jack from the factory). I just purchased the addon, took out the factory head unit, and pluged it into the back. There was a empty spot where a tape deck would plug in. Then I ran a cable to the center console where I plug in my MP3 player. I just hit the "Media" button on the deck to choose it. Much better quality than a tape adapter or FM transmitter.

I have a 2001 Acura with 6Disc changer in dash. I see the

Honda 1994-2005 PA11 ? HON is compatible. Would I lose the CD Changer functionality?
