How good is Asus Laptop?

Hi, I am thingking about buying a laptop. Does anybody know if Asus has a good one or not? Since I missed the Sony deal on buy.com then I am switching to Asus. So can you gime me recommendiation.

They aren't bad. From the quality of their company as a whole, they shouldn't be bad. Asus is not a company who generally makes crap, since so many people have had great experience with their products, their notebooks shouldn't be an exception.

urbantechie: Do you know if we can upgrde the processor with Asus? Is it right cause I know that other laptops can't fo that. And do you know what is the biggest screen? Is it 15" or what? thanks

You can't upgrade the processor on any laptop to what I know. Usually they are soldered on. And I think the biggest is 14.1".

I dont know about Asus newer models, but the older ones had upgradeable CPU's.
They used MMO CPU's, so you could go all the way from vanilla pentium to a P2 no problem.

most new laptops use mmc modules, so you can still upgrade. I know ecost.com is one of the few companies that does sell the modules.
