How good are you in Quake 3?

I've been playing a lot of Quake3 recently, simply for the lack of anything better to do. I decided I would see how many levels I could win while playing on the "Nightmare" difficulty level. To my surprise, there were only one or two that foiled me! I never thought of myself as particularly good, simply average, but isnt Nightmare supposed to be really difficult? Or was it simplified in the latest patch or what?

Anyone else notice that Nightmare isnt at difficult as you'd think, or am I simply just too elite?

I am pretty decent at it.

For a short period of time, I was fairly good. I could go on to most servers and rank 1st or 2nd at the end of every match.

Then I quit playing for a LONG time. Dunno why I did that, but it cost me. I seriously suck, I can't even beat the second singleplayer level on nightmare anymore (the one against Phobos).

I can guard the base in CTF pretty well though

I will be running my Quake 3 Team Arena CTF server in about 30 minutes if anyone wants to join me.

You may have to set the server list to show full. The only rule I have is that when you join you are auto assigned to a team and I ask that you stay there. No team switching because you are losing.

I play Rocket Arena. I think i'm better at 1v1s than vanilla Quake 3, since you need to know more about weapon and powerup placement in Quake 3 to get the upper hand...

i admit i suck balls at quake 3. i never play it cause i never liked it. IMHO it is crap compaired to Unreal Trounament. now at that game i will beat anyone. cause im a god at it.

Ugh, I used to be pretty good at Q3, now after playing too much GR, Max Payne, MOHAA... I suck sour frog @$$... big warty sour frog @$$!

It is offline now. For future reference you need to have the 1.31 update to see it.

Not very good at all. I'm better at slower-paced games such as CS or Rainbow Six/Rogue Spear/Ghost Recon, etc.
