I used to do well in my car, but parallel parking in my new truck is a completely different story. Bigger wheels, differently shaped hood and bed, and a higher stance all contribute to new adventures in parallel parking. Overall, I'd rate myself a 5, but I'm getting better!

i saw a dude do it first try in a f-350. i was impressed.

and it had very little room on both sides.

i'm about an 8

on my g test she made me parallel park on a curve and i did so amazing, i was just waiting for her to be all "wow that was very good" but she was like "ok, go"

I gave myself a 3...did it once on my test, but I dunno if I can do it again 🙂

I live in an area where parallel parking isn't exactly necessary

One of the few things I actually got right the first time I took my drivers-license test 😱

Horrible. Never had to do it once in Mississppi. Now I come to Indiana and these idiots all park on the sides of the road.

🙂

Last time I parallel parked was in Driver's Ed. That was about 4-5 years ago. Probably won't be that great at it but I think I could get it in the spot. Gave myself a 6.

When you guys say parallel parking in one shot, you mean to pull into the spot once and then back up once to center it, right? Or, are you saying that you pull in and center yourself between two cars without ever backing up once?

It's been so long, that I don't even know how good I would be. Though I am good at backing up, and maneuvering while doing it.

I have parallel parked 3 times so far in 5 years of driving. I always end up 2 or 3 feet away from the curb.

I aced it on my test but I still hate doing it... and I think that hate makes it take a few tries before I can squeeze into the smaller spots

Piece of cake, I give myself a 6, since its a rare occurance for me to parallel park. But when I need to, assuming the car will fit in the gap, no problem.
