How good are Serengeti Sunglasses?

I have a pair of Oakley's that I like, but I'd like to have an extra pair to switch it up now and then. I was looking at the Serengeti Vedi sunglasses, but I'm not too familiar with the quality of this company. Any feedback?

I had some Serengeti aviator style glasses. Decent quality for the price. Optical quality was great; lenses were glass which I prefer over the distortion of a plastic lens. The clear nose piece cushions turned yellow from sun exposure and the right nose assembly fell apart after 3 years. I tossed them.

I only wear glass sunglasses and since Ray-Ban has completely gone off the charts in price, I slid down to Serengeti. I've always wanted a pair of them and I found these from some golf shop online in Vegas. Ebay is not the cheapest place for these glasses. You can find them at other places for less. As for the glasses, I like them a lot and would definitely consider another pair when I finally lose these. Like posted above,no distortion and the optics are crystal clear and they are very comfortable. If you think that spending 60.00 or so on a pair of sunglasses is your thing, I say go for it.

I spend very little on sunglasses, however my wife is a big fan of serengeti, she has had i guess three pairs since I have been married to her all are in mint condition still.

Have had a pair of their Aviators for 18 years and just recently got a pair of their Velocitys. Good optics though I'm not into the "S" logo that they now put on the corner of the lens. Got mine from SunglassesGiant.

Yeah, just when I thought logos on the side were the limit of ridic some companies began adding them permanently to the friggin lenses.

Anyhoo, Serengeti's polarized glass driving lenses are practically an industry standard. But then there are not really what I would call a "sunglass". Also, their products cover a wide range down to some pretty cheezy all plastic ones that you would expect to see being flogged on an infomerical. Costco generally has an okay selection of 'em.

ive had 2 pair and loved them both

but the devil broke them and all i could afford when i wanted to replace them were Bolle, which are good, but not as good as the serengeti

edit: campmor.com usually has a few choices from serengeti for under $100

Serengeti optics are the best. I have my ray bans, previously tried Oakleys, and have tried Maui Jims. Nothing comes close to the clarity and contrast and punch of the Serengeti Drivers Gradient shades. Absolute tops. And not too expensive either.
