I've had my Seiko kinetic for 3 years now...still running well (albeit with scratchs on the face and band). Cost ~$300 new...

Yeah, that's what I recall seeing them for, $300 bucks. Link to the $500 model?

I've had a titanium kinetic for four years and I love it. Occasionally I'll notice that its lost a lot of time but its a great conversation piece because everyone want's to know about it once they hold it since its so light. I'd get one if I were you but I wouldn't pay $500 for it (I spent $350 for a $600 watch).

OP - Please go to a real watch forum. I have never seen so little knowledge of quality watches in one place.

How do you guys know those $50 ebay seikos are legitimate? They come from overseas where everything is fake.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like, last time I went overseas I almost died when one of those crappy knockoff "Boing 757"s broke in half. Then I went into a store for food, but even that was fake and made of plastic. I almost starved until this American dropped a McDonalds hamburger near me at the airport.

It's a good thing all branded products are made in the US....wait...

har har har, you ever been to chinatown? CDs are fake, designer clothes are fake, I wouldn't put watches above being fake.

BTW, I once had a woman tell me that if a woman wants to know if a guy has money, she'll look at his watch. We were at a strip club at the time. 😀

All the more reason to buy a cheap watch. That way you're less likely to get a blood sucking, money grabbing little slut who doesn't want to work for money and would rather wiggle her wobbly bits in front of gullible men then marry and divorce/cash up within a few years instead of getting a job like real people do.

I hate women that marry for money.

serious, some guys I know bitch about how their wives are lazy asses, butt parked at home running up the CCs while they go to work.

They bitch, but they never do anything about it. Some people wouldn't have anything to say if you made them stop whining.

I'm sure you can find a good deal on the Kinetics online. Try to find someone whose an authorized Seiko dealer. There are places in NY that sell it for 40% off retail.

seiko kinetic for everyday wear are great. no more hassle: say goodbye to battery replacements after x months or so.

just make sure and double check with the seller for a crystal face. i believe most kinetics have it = minimize scratches.

i also have a citizen eco-drive (solar powered) but I just leave that by the window and use it on more "formal" occassions coz its a bit on the high side and the model/design is very dressy.

bottomline: solar or kinetic, no more instances that you look at your watch and it starts slowing down coz battery is dying. then the hassle of replacement. not to mention, minimizing waste whenever tossing those button batteries.

Don't spend $500 on a freaking watch. There are drugs and alcohol to buy.

Combine this response with the graphics cards to buy response and you have the only correct one.

I don't even have a watch. Why the hell would I need a watch? I just use my mobile phone to tell me the time when I need to know.

I love seiko, they are the only watches i bill buy, i recently bough a 420$ watch for 310 at a wholesale club, and i love it...blue bezel with gold and silver plating....whole band and casing is titanium so its extremely light....i love it...i'd post a pic but i am to lazy

GL with your purchase...

I love my Kinetic, I absolutely beat the crap out of it at work and it runs perfect and has for over 3 years now! I got mine off of ebay for $100 when the retail price was over $300 locally.

Aye, I'm just like you. Except I do have a watch, but its not something I spent 500 dollars on, more like 50, just grabbed the nicest looking Timex from Wal-Mart, cost me 30 something dollars 😛.
