How good are Acer LCDs?

I've owned 2 Acers and purchased 2 more for two builds I've done for friends and of the ones I bought, they've all been awesome.
I've never had any issue with them and NEVER had a dead pixel.
I'm actually considering getting my 3rd Acer the AL2423Wdr 24". It's either that or a Dell 2407.
I almost purchased an Acer 20" until I saw the 24" in the store. *drool*

Warranty is 3 years and I've actually had my stupid cat pull my monitor down (trying to get behind the computer and got snagged on the cables) and other than a scratch it wasn't even phased. The stands on the ones I've had have been very stable.

Hope that helps some.

Cheers!

I've been using an Acer 19" LCD that I bought 15 months ago and I have no complaints with it. It has a 6-bit TN panel, but the colors, contrast and brightness are all very good. Text and pictures look great on it. Any test pattern I throw at it reproduces without problems. I never used the warranty, so I can't speak to that.

The new 22"er's have caught me interest also, even though they are 6-bit. I'm waiting to see the other offerings from Samsung and Viewsonic before I make a decision. Best Buy has the Westinghouse 22" in stock, so I heard; I might stop to take a look at it. What I like about the 22" er's is that they only lose about 3/16" viewing height compared to the 19" LCD, but provide a much larger width.
