My old neighborhood: Bona fide ghetto. Definitely a 'hood you wanted to lock your car and front door in. Homeless people digging through the dumpster out back, noisy-ass people partying all night in the complex next door, helicopters flying over looking for people, a police chase through the yard of the house on the other side of the complex, etc.
My current neighborhood: Definitely non-ghetto, although the good ol' boy population outnumbers everybody else. I'm happy though because we live in a nice quiet family-oriented apartment complex and the management is pretty strict about who they rent to. Did have a problem with the assholes upstairs making noise but they moved about a month ago and the neighbors down the way with the little punk-ass kid who stole the bulbs out of our Christmas lights moved as well, so nothing to say about the neighbors currently. 😀
