how gay, a virus that just...sits there and is a virus

my pc is, somehow , infected with the PARITE virus

dont know how i got it. it only infects exe files and scr (screensaver) files
only things i get off kazaa are media stuff like mp3's, this is strange

most annoying, it doesnt do anything...it really just tells my av program that every exe file infected kinda waves and says "hi, im parite, w00t"

so then my av program moves all exe's to a vault for deleting...except for one file, so i keep getting infected *sigh*

note, avg found it, and cant remove it from everything (or, most things)
gotta find something, what a half ass virus
 
yes, in an insulting way
not gay in a homosexual or likes-to-go-with-other-virii way, so dont get the wrong ridiculous idea

What do you want or expect a computer virus to do -kick you in the nuts? The worst it can do is mess with other software I am afraid, not unlike real viruses can only mess with other organisms. Unlike real viruses however, they cannot consume the host and make it gush fluids out of every orifice. Computer viruses are overrated and boring. Get used to it.

i just thought it was a half ass virus, why write one to just say "hi" to an av program

oh well, boring indeed...and oh how queer of it

Today's viruses, perhaps, but not the viruses of old. The vast majority of "viruses" today aren't even a virus; they deliver a single payload without self-propagation of any kind. I haven't seen a quality virus permeate the media in a LONG time.

And you're quite wrong with respect to a virus consuming a host; that's what the majority of viruses did.
 
A lot of these viruses are merely "proof of concept" .Where in they are created just to prove that they can be. Not necessarily to create damage or wreak havoc.

Holy sh!t, I did completely destroy the English language! 🙁 I was in the middle of one thought and wrote down another half way through. My mistake. Well that happens to people with enormous brain power, and think so fast that their fingers can't keep up with their mind. That problem plagues me. 🙂
