How fast is a T1?

Just got my DSL bumped from 1.5 to 3 mps (and my speed is about 2.5 mps from speedtests).

T1 is 1.5/1.5, i have 3.0/384 at home from RR and normal web Dls will git 400k/s from good servers, useing a download accelerator i can get 800k/s ive gotten 1meg/sec before on good days

Which D.L. accelerator are you using Anubis? I get the same speeds as you but I am very open to getting those higher speeds you mentioned.

532499 bytes were transferred to your computer in 1.31 seconds. Your max throughput is 406.99 KB/sec.

Last time I checked 800k/sec was 6.4mbit and 1meg/sec was 8mbit....and you're capped at 3mbit.....and I know RR does in fact cap anywhere between 1.5 and 3mbit depending on where you live....so I sincerely doubt that what you say is true....maybe in short little bursts (before the server/cable modem has a chance to enforce the cap), but you cannot download large files that fast and maintain those speeds under RR or any other ISP that doesn't enforce a cap.

you CAN useing a DOWNLOAD ACCELERATOR, getting around the cap is its whole purpose
next time im home ill get you a screen shot, and seeing as ive Dled 100gigs in 3 days on RR i dont think they really care what i do

A t1 is slow. 1.544 Mbs (1.536 bearer)

2.5 Mbs is well...2.5 Mbs. Divide by 10 to get a rough estimate of "download speed" - so in your case around 250 KBs.

it can only download as fast as the server can serve it :/ everything is theoretical.

a download accelerator simply opens more connections to the server you're downloading....it doesn't get around your bandwidth cap...do you think ISP's that enforce the caps are that stupid?

no but if it says its dling at 800k/s and my firewall and network moniotor also report 800k/s then its doing 800k/s
