Im on Direcway Satellite internet. Uploads always suck. Downloads are capped at 170MB a day. We live 30 miles in the country. Finally thought, after 2 years of this crap service, Bellsouth has came in. They stopped a mile from my road :(. They not expected to get here for 6 months :(. My neighbor that i ride over to on my bike near everyday is enjoying lagless internet while i deal with 1500ms latency BS!!!

I've suffered through internet hell ever sinced I moved. Up until 2003, only dial-up and direcway were available in my area, and I used dial-up. Then a small-time crap DSL company came in and now that's what a use. I get 512 download/upload at (get this) $59 a month! :(

Unfortunately, it looks to stay that way for the near future.

OMG, reading all these makes me wanna cry. You dont really wanna know mine and its too slow to even bother testing. I swear its not my fault. Its cuz of where we live. The closest thing we have to highspeed is Qwest DSL and I'm about 1.5 miles just out of range of the nearest remote terminal.
Ready for this??
Dial-up-
Usually 21.6 to 24Kb/s.
But for some reason, weather or what ever, I've only been getting 16.8 to 19.2Kb/s. Thats right, I said KILObits! LOL!!! When I get the 16.8, I dont even bother. I just keep trying until I get at least 19.2. :(
I can't wait till we move! Im so far behind. :(

T3 for the win :). Not a full T3 though. Half-pipe it looks like. Burstable?

That should come in handy if you ever need to send someone all the raw image files for "Finding Nemo" in ten minutes or less.

Edit:

Comcast, Port Murray NJ office - 4059 down, 355 up. Gaahhh, that is a miserable upload rate.

Don't have a picture, and can't remember the speeds exactly (I'll look at it when I get home).

With (Cablevision) OOL I get:
Download: 14000kbps
Upload: 1800kbps

That about goes along with what I should be getting. (15/2). But thats with the modem plugged in directly into my computer. When I have my router running too I only get about 8/2 (and sometimes even 7/1.5)
