How fast is your home internet connection

At home (Long Island), my parents have FiOS with TV, phone, and 20/5 internet for about $120 a month after boxes and stuff are accounted for.

At school, my apartment gets 6/1.5 with TV and phone for $115/month after taxes and fees (package is $100/month for 12 months). It's through Comcast, and it sucks. Much of the time, I don't get close to 6mbps.

10Mb/1Mb for $42 a month, although when I test at Speakeasy it varies horribly. To NYC and Seattle I get 15Mbps, to Dallas I get 1.8Mbps. Shaw FTL.

~$50/mo

512k/288 up - $38/mo
...ya getting ripped
but getting regraded to 8mb capped at 25gb on monday for same cost..still a rip off though, this is DSL in the UK

3mbps down/512k up for $30/month

AT&T and Comcast are content to exploit their duopoly here and haven't started competing yet. 6mbps Comcast is $55/month and has been that price for the past 5 years.

1.5mb down/384k up @ $30/mo. Verizon DSL
Ya, I'm like 500 ft too far to get stable 3mb down. Hopefully Fios should be on my street in the next month or 2.

3mbps down /384k up $37.95/month. When AT&T starts offering 6mps/512k for $42.95 i'm jumping on it.

5 up, 30 down, at least in theory. optimum online + speed boost.

it's about $55/month for internet... $45 for the basic service and an extra $10 for the boost.

Really? =[

I remember Comcast has 4 down for non cable tv users, but once I hooked up basic cable, they gave me 6 down (that was back in college). At home, we have the same deal, 6/1 for $42.95? Looking forward to DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade so I jump to 12/2. Of course, 6/1 is plenty already, especially with their damn cap!
