godamn, my paragraph sucked compared to some of yours

The Ontopsychological school, availing itself of new research criteria and of a new telematic epistemology, maintains that social modes do not spring from dialectics of territory or of class, or of consumer goods, or of means of power, but rather from dynamic latencies capillarized in millions of individuals in system functions which, once they have reached the event maturation, burst forth in catastrophic phenomenology engaging a suitable stereotype protagonist or duty marionette (general, president, political party, etc.) to consummate the act of social schizophrenia in mass genocide.

ok, much better this time around, this one didn't give me a 10 letter word every 3 words

Your speed was 78 WPM with 2 mistakes (adjusted speed 76 WPM)

If a team is in a positive frame of mind, it will have a good attitude..If it has a good attitude, it will make a commitment to playing the game right..If it plays the game right, it will win -- unless, of course, it doesn't have enough talent to win, and no manager can make goose-liver pate out of goose feathers, so why worry?

Why even keep track of spelling mistakes when there's check spell nowadays?

because if you type 120 wpm but make a mistake every three letters, then it's not really 120 wpm. at what point does it become banging in the general location of letter clusters?

After trying a second and third time (at home this time), I got 71 cwpm and 78 cwpm. I think the shitty keyboard I use at work had an effect on the first run.

typingtest.com is another good site to use. I'd try it now, but I've already posted in the ATOT drunk thread. The only reason that i can respond in this thread right now is because I learned to touch-type many years ago. You can't hunt and peck while intoxicated. :p

Done while slouching, don't feel like trying.

Your speed was 98 WPM with 1 mistake (adjusted speed 97 WPM).

I'll do this test again when I'm not lying down in bed, and maybe try on my keyboard at work (just for comparison).

Funny story, I always look at people's WPM on their resume when they apply for front desk position. If they can't type faster than 75 WPM, I trash their resume.

Nice necro

I typically average about 90-100 depending on how hard Im trying, but the funny thing is according to those typing sites, thats already into "touch typing" territory, and I dont touch type at all... I use pecking style with index fingers only lol

I guess if you can really use all fingers, speeds of 150+ would be easy

I also dont understand how people can type below 50 wpm... Unless they rarely use the computer, of course... I found that to do 50 wpm I constantly have to wait before typing the next word to let the counter drop LOL and typingtest.com says the AVERAGE is 36, yikes...

Yeah, typing tests with a bunch of word combinations that virtually never come up in real-world situations.
