I can type faster and really accurate with my eyes closed and I'm typing from my head (notes in a ticket or something like that). I think it's because I can concentrate on where my fingers are and what they are doing without being distracted by what's on the screen or reading from a page.
I don't know how you speed demons do it. This just me mashing buttons and hitting the space bar every so often. My fingers were fatigued just doing that, and it wasn't real typing.

I can type faster than that if my eyes are closed, but I can't read and type at the same time that fast. Also, when my eyes are closed I make a lot less errors.
89 adjusted. I honestly don't type nearly as often, or in as large amounts, as I used to .. I imagine at one point I may have been faster and more accurate - but who knows.
