How fast are maximas? (maxima owners unite!)

I duno i just got my license and im driving a 95 maxima GXE (automatic). How fast are maximas, i mean when i floor it, it feels pretty damn fast...how do they compare with some of those ricers?

They are reasonably quick; with an automatic you will be in the high 7s for 0-60. Also, the GXEs have a top-speed limiter due to their tire selection, so they top out around 125 - the SE will get up to around 145 (though I can't imagine many Americans will ever know the difference, myself included).

on 2k2, speed limiter limits top speed to ~145mph.

1/4 mile in 14.4s @94.1mph. .... that's bone stock on a 2k2 6spd.

i just asked my freind who has a 96 maxima, said he's gotten it up to 120 before

heh nice car Rallispec... yah we should race but im too scared to drive fast lol... heh i was talkin to my friend with a 97 accord and he was like so u drving that big-boat-family car hehe then i told him whats under the hood and he was surprised then i showed him some online specs and he was blown .... i think ill race him one day ...well tehn he stopped responding to me....

Just so you guys know don't trust your speedo's for accurate speed readings at those speeds, they can be off a fair amount. Use a gps or something to be more accurate.

Anyway they're not race cars, but they're peppy enough to be fun!

Since I can, and do, top the speedo, I just use the rpm and gear ratio to figure out how fast I'm going once I past 155.

My moms got a 96 se...everytime I drive that thing I can't help but floor it off every stop light, not slow down around turns...it handles so awesome compared to my jeep...and its so damn smooth...goin from a powerful loud v8 to a silky smooth v6...mmmmm
I've gotten her car up to 120
