Yeah, I actually had someone arguing with me a few days ago, because I had said that I overclocked an old Celeron 400 to 550mhz, without raising the fsb. As for your new math, I've got a 32.6% overclock, not 75%
(309/233=1.326 versus 233/309=0.754. Actual calculation is 76/233=0.326, which is difference over original)
