You might enjoy going out to Ghost Trees, the big wave surfing spot off the 18th hole of Pebble Beach golf course. Your map may say "Pescadero Point."

Take binoculars & watch surfers take off on 65 foot tall wave faces (during winter north swell season, smaller in summer). You'll probable see lots of deer running around there, and of course plenty of sea otters. If you drive you'll have to be stealthy about parking. Better to bicycle out on the "Drive" from Monterey / Pacific Grove.
