Hi,
I was wondering how high a 1gig tbird usually went. I check the database at overclockers.com but it doesn't help much. From personal experience how high did you guys go. 1.1 or 1.2.

Mileage would vary, especially at that high clock speed.

Just curious, why do you want to know? Your TBird is already at 1.1G. Can't really beat that out by much. Of course judging from the $$$ you put into your system, I guess you *could* go for the 1.2G and OC that.

I have OC'd my 1 ghz T-Bird to 1.2 ghz stable.

To get there stable, I had to do the voltage mod to my KT7-Raaid mobo.

My system specs are:
AMD 1ghhz socket A T-bird (copper)-unlocked by pencil method
Abit KT7-Raid motherboard
Mushkin PC150 mhz HSDRAM-128mb
Alpha Pal6035 with Delta 38cfm fan with Artic Silver
Sparkle 300w power supply
1 Sunon 80mm, 40cfm fan-Case Exhaust, Rear
1 Sunon 80mm, 38cfm fan-Case Intake, Front
Elsa Gladiac Geforce 2 GTS 32mb
3Com NIC
Linksys NIC
Sound Blaster Live X-Gamer
15Gb Western Digital ATA66 hard drive 7200 rpm-Primary Dual Boot with 2
partitions between Win2K and WinME. Attempts are made through WinME.
10 Gb Western Digital ATA66 hard drive 7200 rpm-secondary
8.4 Gb Western Digital ATA 33 hard drive 5400 rpm-extra storage drive
HP9110 series 8x4x32 CD-RW
Floppy 1.44
HHP Colorado Tape Back-up, internal

Avg. Temps
At 1.2 ghz idle:
CPU= 98 deg F.
System=77 deg F.
House temp avg.= 76 to 78 deg. F.

Hi,
Yeah, I have a 1.1 gig but my brother who had the 750@1.1gig also fried it changing a fan, so I can't find anymore blue 750's so I thought I'd buy him a 1 gig relatively cheap at $260+shipping.

I just got my Duron 600 to POST at 1122Mhz

I haven't loaded harddrives on it yet- its still sitting on the desk :)

I haven't modded the VRM yet so I"m just at 1.85V.

I will try up to 2.0V to see if I can get a stable 1.1Ghz out of it.

I might go for 133mhz FSB actually. See if I can't run 1066/133(266) but we'll see =-)

Hi,

Posting doesn't mean much cause I can get my chip to post at 1250 with the FSB higher than 1300 but it doesn't load windows until I bring it down to 1100. I doubt you'd get a 133FSB. I have trouble getting 101FSB and I have mushkin rev 2 ram, it has to do with the limitations of the chipset and cpu.

Thanks for keepin it real moolman. POSTing means next to nothing. Sure I can POST at 950 all I want. But if I want to do anything useful I have to go at a scanty 850. And 133 FSB on a KT133? All I have to say is: good luck!
