How Far can I expect to OC my e8500 on air?

My computer is yet to be built but I've already ordered my e8500. I was planning on getting a Arctic Freezer 7 Pro cooler. How much of an OC do you think I could get (I am a first time OC'er and my case would probably be a Antec 900)
Any different relatively inexpensive CPU cooler suggestions are appreciated.

Much depends on the motherboard. Getting the established favorites people mention around here is the best bet to get 4.2-4.3 GHz. The gigabyte UD3P and UD3R seems to be very popular, and if I wasn't using uATX, that's what I would have gone with (or a higher-end Asus board). Scour the threads around here to get information, check the stickies, and don't rush into buying a board.

AF7P is a low end cooler but its cheap, go for a Tuniq Tower. its pretty much 2nd best (with competitors within 2c, big deal) to the TRUE, which is overpriced

Still runs too hot though, IMO. The stock HSF has an unpleasant high pitched sound, too - unless you have loud enough case fans to drown it out. ;)

OP, if you have up to $50 to spend on a cooler, there are much better options than the AF7P.

Good web sites to check out for cooler reviews:

Benchmarkreviews.com
Frostytech.com

Another vote for this one, considering your budget. I have both a TRUE and an HDT-S1283 and they're pretty comparable. The Xigmatek is very good value.

Did you decide on a cooler in the meantime?

Yeah, I actually found a really good deal on the Arctic 7 Pro... I looked at the suggestions in the thread and then looked at newegg reviews. etc, and decided cause of the price to get that (i didnt get it off newegg, i got it off of some other site (i checked reviews on the site, and it seemed good))

my E8500 (E0 step) is @ 4.2 Ghz with a Gigabyte U3DP and Tuniq Tower

Vcore is 1.36V in cpuZ

I'm sure it could OC more if I increased Vcore, but don't want to go above 1.36V
