You are a horrendously spoiled ignorant kid. Let me tell you why:

You're replacing a computer than is better than 95% of the population's with one that can be considered, at best, a decent, yet not spectacular, upgrade. This is just a sign of poor money management/overall stupidity.

Additionally, you're not even paying for this yourself. You are wasting your parents' money to gain very little. Also, just because your parents make a good amount of money doesn't mean you are entitled to waste it. Where did that idea possibly come from? Say it outloud to yourself, so you might hear how stupid it sounds. Also, you say you're paying for part of it yourself. Think back...have you ever worked a minute in your life? If not, then the money that you are using is not actually "yours." You have most likely gotten it indirectly from your parents (as in the picture you eBayed.)

On top of all that, your obsession with your future Escalade is just more of a sign of complete and utter spoiling. You most likely have no idea how much your dad had to do to buy that Escalade now. It's just another gift you think you "deserve" in your upper middle class suburban life. I hope, later on when you are out in the real world, you are unable to reach your parents at a time when you really need money, and then you come to the realization that you simply don't know how to make any for yourself, so you break down in the street and cry. Kids like you piss me off.

Just my 2 cents.

But on another notion, what happens if I make it big and they will need my money. I WILL CERTAINLY GIVE IT TO THEM NO MATTER MY FINACIAL STATUS.

Thats because if you didn't you'd be an utter douche, your oblidged...
Since you like to criticize others' spelling so much, it's 'obliged'. But there were multiple mistakes.

Basically, your post should have been:

That's because if you didn't, you'd be an utter douche. You're obliged.

*points and laughs even more*

I think we need a maturity test to gain registration... oh wait, that'd kill half this board wouldn't it ;) grow up man, be happy you aren't using god forbid.. a P3... hahaha... oh man.. i really hope this is just a joke

Whats wrong with a P3? I had a PII 450MHZ system, 384 ram, ATI Rage 128pro until last year when I built my current rig because the 440BX chipset does not natively support drives over 120GB and I needed to help fix my sister's computer which was 250GB which as well doesn't support drives over 120GB natively (850 chipset). And that was my main rig! Sure I had a P4 1.7 with a R9800pro, but I only got the 9800pro in 2003 and that rig in late 2002 and even then, despite being a full 1250mhz faster, I still used that PII system as my main system.
knock knock
Who's there?
Goku
Goku who?
Goku didn't know what sarcasm was and understands now

:lips:

Well, it's difficult to know if your being sarcastic ESPCIALLY at seeing the upgrade cycles people go through here on these boards. Are you sure you were being sarcastic? Doesn't seem like it...

You're right, I did mispell "obliged", I guess it was a typo just like "you're", while I didn't catch the "obliged" part, I did catch "you're" before I read your post....

You didn't seem this immature in your threads in General Hardware.

I'm never having children, as a favor to everyone else of course

Not for the theory stuff, but you need it for the programming classes.

I think he meant you can get by at the computer labs.... but it still sucks to be a comp sci major without a computer.

I am DEAD Serious. I don't joke on something like this. If i can I'll post pics of te stuff. My mom fvcking probably wont even let me do that.

You oughta be kissing your mommy's damn feet for the fact that she was willing to drop $685 on computer parts for you when you already have a perfectly functioning computer. Spoiled brat much?

Wow - your "dream" system only has a single 160Gig drive?

I think you should be glad for the reprieve she gave you, get a job wrapping presents or as sales help at a department store before Xmas, and buy another drive so you can at least put in RAID 0 or something...

Future Shock

NB - I spent an entire summer working at a gas station in a ****** innercity neighborhood, my foot on a silent alarm behind 4 inches of "bullet resistant" plexiglass, so that I could get tuition money and some left over for the top machine in my sig...

This is why cauterizing one's balls off is usually the best solution for people who make posts like this.
Physical discipline, IMO, is a useful tool when applied in moderation.

Looks like you didn't get enough. :)
