How exactly is WindowsME different from other MS operating systems?

WinME is just a warmed over Win98SE.

WinME allows programs to directly access hardware; NT and Win2k don't.

WinME is still based on DOS; NT and Win2k aren't.

WinME does not have true multitasking abilities; NT and Win2k do.
