So a 6ft HDMI Monster Cable costs $100:

Compare that to some cheap knockoff that goes for $3.50 at Monosomething-er-other.

Sure they make a profit selling Monster Cables. Thats capitalism. But you get $100 of build quailty for that price. For $3.50 who knows what the heck you are getting. If some of that is profit, how crappy is that thing anyway?

Parody and there will be 100% agreement with Monster cables being overpriced.

Only thing missing is there's no Monster store you can take your broken cable to. Otherwise, this would be 10/10 easy.

There is no such thing as "$100 of build quality" in a digital cable that either works or it doesn't.

Quiet! Lest you summon Spidey to lecture you about all those benefits that you are missing with your "poor man's" cable.

What? Have you ever seen the build quality on Monster cable? It's high end luxury cables for sophisticated people. You wouldn't understand.

I used to think the same thing, then I replaced all my computer wires with monster cables. I mean all, USB cable, power cables, surge protector, dvi cable the works and the difference is beyond night and day. Electrical efficiency is at a all time high. I'm doing my part to save energy all with stylish cabling. My friends come over and they are in awe when they see my cables.

Heh - for all the bashing Monster actually has a really good warranty -> lifetime (as long as you didn't cut it or something else stupid)

Quite a few cables in my house are Monster cables for this reason: I bought a lot of beat up/not working monster cables for 0.50 to $2 a cable and then spent about $2 a cable shipping them to monster for replacement.

Granted I would never pay close to full price for them but I do prefer them to Monoprice's 47 gauge/unbendable HDMI cables
