while 81% is taking SAT's in NJ
that tells you something doesn't it ?
look at all the states where there is a higher percentage of people taking the SAT's

I thought it was 12% for IL? Anyhoo, we took the ACT's. Most of the schools around here require ACT scores, not the SATs.

because states like PA have children that actually make it to 11th grade to take the SATs.... if you're states in the single digit percentile then i guess you only need an 8th grade education

In the midwest most people just take ACTs these days, since a lot of Midwestern schools will take ACT scores - many even prefer them to SAT.

Rutgers does have many distinguished alumni--especially in NYC.
