How does Verizon advertize "Verizon to Verizon" as "Mobile to Mobile" without getting sued?

I was looking over some of the plans and I was thinking "Oh, it's unlimited as long as it's not coming from a land line or some other service..." and then notice that the fine print says basically that "mobile" is Verizon customers only. So I guess that Sprint and AT&T customers aren't mobile users. Their plans basically read like this:

Unlimited* mobile to mobile** calling***, text****, pics*****, and web******!

*limited to our area and if you're in so much as a canoe in a lake you're roaming
**other people who pay us directly
***voice service not guarenteed
****bytes haven't been so expensive since 1960!
*****all your pics are belong to us
******if you actually use this you'll get a bill so large that you'll be happy when we negotiate it down to $25,000

Yes and basically we only use about 100 minutes a month of the 1400 in our family plan which is the lowest we can go.

Call and bitch, I got burned by this a few years ago when the description actually wasn't as straight forward as it is now. Not only did they remove the charges, they gave me unlimited(actual unlimited) text to anyone to keep me as a customer.

yeap. we are in the same situation. we have 3 lines 1400 minutes but usuallyh use maybe 300-400 minutes.

combine the verizone-verizon and the fav 10 and it reduces the amount of minutes.

yeah when i first got the unlimited text it was to anyone. then they changed it without notification. i called and bitched and now i we have unlimited txt to anyone.

them changing it to only verizon really made me mad.

Just because you don't hear the commercial guy speak it doesn't mean it's not in the fine print. There's always a disclaimer in those commercials to "see store for details" or "restrictions apply" or some nonsense.

it doesnt say 'unlimited mobile to mobile'

it says 'unlimited Nationwide mobile to mobile'

i upgraded my plan last night and was looking for the 'unlimited in calling' then i saw that.

the 'nationwide' is the name of their phone plans.
