I did this as a template for my friends sister, she is learning html and wanted a design idea so I did this for her (according to her brother she wont see the source code so there is no cheating)

But because of the heavy usage of css for formating I'm not sure how this will work in different browsers, I will post a screenshot of how its supposed to look.. as soon as i get answer to this one question.

i'm using a beta version of photoshop7 and when I use the crop tool it resizes the cropped part to the original size of the image, how can I change it so that it just crops normaly?

edt..

This is how its supposed to look. I just used select and copy and paste to get this done instead of crop.

Looks pretty nice.. IE 6 / 1280x960. I think it would look a lot better with fully justified text.

Using the same version... it's not doing that on mine, so not sure what the problem is. Sorry

The dark grey "HEADLINE" is not on the double line below it. It is above it by about 3/16".

The transparent "HEADLINE" in the background is also above the double line like above.

I was at 1920x1200 (I have a wide screen) but I dropped down to 1280x960 and it was still too small.

Who cares about people @ this kind of resolution. Of COURSE it looks too small.
The masses are nowhere near that. Every damn page looks too small set like this, repeating images aside.

I'm using 1280x960 on a 20" monitor and its seems small to me, a little too small maybe, I'll do another version with bigger fonts in a moment

<< Electric Amish,
try the second page again, set height to 100%
>>

You have the cell height set to 100%. I'm talking about in the <table> tag. :)
