How does this make ANY sense? (GPU prices, even lower-end)

Just makes me wonder if prices on the new RTX cards are going to fall from their silly targets without Mining to support it.
There's no reason to drop the prices. Nvidia will still be selling Pascal which will easily counter any lack of sales of the new product and there's always supply constraints on new GPUs anyway. Until Pascal goes EOL (at least the mid-upper tiers), I wouldn't expect any prices drops, even down to their supposed "MSRP"

Hopefully when 2060 is out i can snag a 1060 6gb for a good price but considering 2060 will probably be a rebranded 1070 and sold for $350 i think 1060 won't drop much.

There was a leak somewhere that indicated a 2060 is a TU116 die with RTX features (albeit horribly cut down of course)
