Yea, its a store. I was going for a plain & simple layout.

Looks pretty good! I'd recommend a light grey or greyish-blue table about 75% the size of the page, centered, for all the text. Similar to the forum's setup, ya know. Gives your text some boundaries. Also, I'd ditch the handdrawn logo (although it's very good), and try to design one in Photoshop or the like.

Good work! :)

Have you thought about putting a cream colored background?

After seeing your current layout, I feel it's just missing a bit of variety in the color department

you do need a background. just a simple, light color is fine. for example, use the bluish color that's the back ground to half of the posts. that's a nice tone.

My 2.165 cents (after NY state sales tax, of cource):

a) Even if you're trying to keep it plain, the fact that it's centered in the page and it only extends a little more then halfway down really brings out the plainness in a sad way. Add more to it, anything which looks good and fills up the page. The less there is = less options. People don't like a lack of options.

b) The whole black/white thing is unoriginal, but it could work if you had something in the background. Otherwise it's just screaming of unoriginality.

c) Make Order now smaller, and possibly a button. The bigger Order Now is, the more it shows the user what's on your mind. A user that thinks you're greedy won't trust or like you as much, and probably won't be as likely to do business with you.

d) I'd get rid of the

<< HERE'S A FIGURE THAT IS TOUGH TO FIND, ULTIMATE SON GOHAN! >>

at the top, and move it to the item description. The only thing up there should be SBC - Vol. 26 (or whatever the item's name is.

That being said, it's not THAT bad.

I think it looks great! Good job, joshpokeball.

I don't think you should pay much attention to Paulson's comments, as he is just saying things like &quot;I don't like white pages&quot; <- That's just stupid. An online store obviously is not going to have a &quot;gothic&quot; look!

I think it looks nice the way it is. Maybe you could make it a little wider, but it really looks fine the way it is, it's up to you. So what is this all about? You starting this store, or building the site for someone? No matter, good job and keep it up.

Good luck!

it looks ok.... sort of like a mom and pop type web page. If that's what you're going for, great. Otherwise you'll need to brighten it up a bit to make it more professional looking, IMHO.

I really like the simple design, but that &quot;welcome Dragon Ball Fans&quot; should use another font. Those chinese lookalike fonts look really cheap nowadays.

Add the following:
<body bgcolor=&quot;#003366&quot;>

before the line:
<meta http-equiv=&quot;Content-Type&quot; content=&quot;text/html; charset=iso-8859-1&quot;>

That'll make the background blue. To make it whatever you want, just change the &quot;#003366&quot; to whatever color you want.

who gives a fuk, people are either going to buy what he's selling or there not going to buy it - the BG colour won't make any bloody difference. Well as long as it doesnt blend into the font colour, that is - in other words it has to be readable.

&amp; don't forget the KISS principle - 'Keep It Simple Stupid.

Your got to aim at the lowest common denominator (well a Palm Beach geriatric might want to purchase something off his site).

I would change the background but that would mean I'd have to change every white image to the blue background you've asked me to use. That's a pain in the arse!

Hehehe, you are right in a way :p

josh - if you made the images with photoshop, you can set the background color on an image to be transparent (so whatever color your page is set to, the background of the image will match).

AAARgh, why am I helping you. You like pokemon...ewww :p
