Ok I think I have narrowed it down finally.
Before I place my orders how does this system look? Am I forgetting anything? Anything that I should change? This will be primarily for gaming and my first attempt at overclocking and building a pc.

Oh, and you can get a P4 2.6C for just a few more bucks. BTW how much is the Radeon 9800 right now (before gift cards)? If it's much more than 200, you could consider Mwave's $199 Radeon 9700 Pro.

Floppy: Just get any cheap floppy. They're usually all name brand anyway.

I have an IC7-g and an IS7. If you don't need the Gigabit lan I would suggest the IS7. It actually performs better than my IC7-g (very, very small margin) so that would save you $60. That would get you a 2.8c.

Also since P4 fans are highly efficient why don't you dump that heatpipe crap and get an IS7 and 3.0C instead. You obviously aren't concerned with noise since a tornado is on the list. Then you have a fast setup from the start and it will still overclock. The stock fan is fine at 3.5G which is about all you can hope for from a P4 on air.

Or even better an Athlon 64 setup.

I had heard the 2.6c didn't overclock as well and rumored that zipzoomfly is currently shipping M0 steppings on the 2.4c, so I figured might as well. If anything I may just jump up to the 2.8c.

I picked up the Radeon for 199.99 before giftcards at Circuit City. Still have till the 31 though to return it if I want.

I will have to check out the IS7. I am not sure if I will end up using the gigabit lan or not.

I have never heard a tornado so I don't know how loud they are but my old pc is fairly loud fan wise. I have difficulty sleeping if it is too quiet, hell I wake up if we have a power failure most of the time because I don't hear my hepa filter running or my pc..

Where is the best place to buy memory right now, as far as the Mushkin?
