How does this CPU compare to its Intel Counter Part?

because you cant buy a sandy bridge now (no one is selling motherboards/cpus atm, gonna take like 9+ weeks), and its what makes most sense from intel. Unless you turn to the dark side! and get a phenom II something.

actually, you can still buy SB chips at microcenter (at least according to their website...in fact they're still the same low price [2500k for $180]), and you can buy the chips and boards on ebay. all you gotta do is make sure the board has enough sata3 ports, or get a sata controller pci/pci-e card. obviously this is not a solution that everyone can take advantage of, but it's definitely a viable option for an individual.
