I agree that the RDX is a great little vehicle, as is the pricetag, just try nudging down a little more. On the other hand, I find the anti-american semitism coming from car consumers to be deplorable at best. Sure, they deserve their lack of trust. However, completely ruling out domestic cars without even trying just because its cool to hate american cars is no better than the Intel and AMD fanboyism that goes on in the CPU area. I found the Ford Edge and the Lincoln MKX (luxury Ford Edge) to be absolutely amazing vehicles, and simply wouldn't hesitate to purchase one had I not already spent the money on our Expedition
EDIT: I'll go on to say the Lincoln MKX's fuel economy is better, and uses an NA engine as opposed to a turboed engine, therefore reliability is most likely better. Additionally, you can run an MKX on low grade gas and get the same power, whereas the RDX is recommended only with premium.
Sure, your parents are free to get what they wish, that's the beauty of America. I just think that cutting out an entire hemisphere of vehicles simply because they are made by an American company depicts a certain level of ignorance on the part of buyer. If they chose to try American vehicles and still decided on an Acura that's certainly their decision. I suppose it's just a prick in my side considering domestic vehicle manufacturers are trying very hard to catch up but are partially hampered do to blind prejudice by such people as your parents.
Again, freedom to get as they wish.
