How does the iPhone 6s prevent color warping in the LCD

When you physically press down on the surface an LCD, the colors warp. The iPhone 6 and 6s don't. How is this accomplished?

Apparently this was preparing for the pressure sensitive surface of the iPhone 6s.
 
None of my touch screen devices with a glass surface have done this. The rigidity of the glass keeps pressure off the display elements and instead transmits into the phone frame.
 
My guess is the 3d touch layer stops it.

It's also the case with the iPhone 6 non-s. But my iPad, MacBook, iPhone 3, Sharp LCD, and all other devices color warp normally.

Which devices? Name them. I was thinking it was more than just thick glass because it retains its color integrity no matter how hard you press.

Why does it have to be something more? Most display screens (TVs, monitors) don't have a rigid outer layer. The glass of mobile devices with capacitive touch screens prevents any pressure from getting to the screen elements themselves.

Resistive touch screens that have a flexible outer layer (required for resistive touch) can distort with enough pressure.

Doesn't happen on my note 4 even after pressing it so hard I'm worried i'll either hurt myself of crack the display.

Aren't those devices OLED and not LCD?
