lets say a rookie out of college is the #1 draft. What happens if he and the team can't come to terms?

then he'll sit out.

that's why there are agents. plus, players know their worth and they compare it to others with similar ability and ask for that price.

the NFL probably has the best cap system, i love how players can be waived if they're sucking it up! i just wish the same applied to the NBA and MLB :(
