Im 6' 235, looking to burn another 35 lbs. I have been exercising daily with few exceptions for almost 2 years now...and my weight has maintainted for over a year as I have focused only on strength/resistance traning.
Im starting to add running back in...for cardio right now im just doing barbell complexes and elliptical.
Ive laid out my calories and output...but the BMR is something that is eluding me. If I am VERY active, my BMR is 3500. If I am not active at all, its 2200. The thing is, running for 20 minutes seems to have a greater effect than the 200 calories the treadmill says.
My question is, is 200 calories of treadmill running enough to boost my BMR substantially, or should i still consider my calorie needs at a desk job as 'inactive' in regards to BMR?
