How does one get rid of those redish discoloration marks

I have a couple on my face..never really notice them. But they are from a few pimples I had a couple of years ago and while the pimples themselves went away, there is still a redish discoloration mark there. They aren't scars...but they will not seem to ago away.

How does one get rid of these?
 
I'm curious to this as well. I have very mild acne but every once in a while I get a doozy that once popped will stay red for a while. I just want it to go away.
 
That is why you shouldn't pick your spots. Let them be, and they will go over time. If you pick them then you will get these marks on your face.
 
More than likely they are tiny burst blood vessels. A doctor can remove them with a brief laser treatment.

You may also have some success bleeding them with a pin prick. Though if the vessel has not closed, the area will just fill with blood again.
