Start by going to to real places. talk to girls. get to know them, if you feel that you would like to see her again, ask her to get coffee sometime, dont do dinner first. save that for if you know you both like each other.
dont come on too strong. be kind, real, dont be a pansy.
after a little, you will realize if there is a "connection" if there is, things should prorgress natrually

Getting a girlfriend is easy.... just have the mailman put your phone bill in the mailbox of the girl who lives in the apartment above yours. Then when she returns it, you just be nice and hang out. End of story...

Ok so I got REALLY lucky (thx mailman who sucks at delivering mail to the right place) but things just happen. I suggest that you just have fun and be yourself and it will eventually happen.
