How does one get a downsizer job?

I feel like I could do that job with ease. I prefer the Bobs approach the most, but I can't seem to find any information on that career path. How do you get started in it? HR?

It's not downsizing, it's a RIF - reduction in force. Yeah, HR Generalist is usually the path to that type of specialty.

Management or rightsizing consulting should be good. That's what the bob's were and it's exactly as described - "They're bringing in the consultants! That means they interview you - for your own freaking job!"

Nah, I'm just aware that life sucks and people get fired. I just wouldn't lose any sleep over it at all, and I think that's a desirable trait for the job.
