How does one address a letter to a Judge?

I askes the Judge in court today if I could do community service rather than pay a speeding ticket.
He said sure, send him a letter.
Do I send proof of the service to him address as such:
The Honorable John Doe
Municipal Court
1234 Main St.
City, SC 12345

id rather pay the ticket LOL...
CS is absolutly horrible most of the time... they are gonna pick the job for you BTW...

My GF works at Habitat for Humanity, and I have probably done that just helping her out over the last month, or so not even trying to get in hours.

I had community service for quite a few hours before.
I wouldn't call sweeping an ice rink the most horrible of times. Smoke a joint, and let the time go by.

i did community service once instead of a fine, I just had a letter from the head of the group state

To Whom it may concern,
During the past month, XXX XXXX, has done 24 hours of community service while working with Habitat for Humanity.. Here are a list of the times that he has worked under my supervision. For any questions related to the work that he has done, please contact me at *****

Not really a big deal I guess, as points and infraction still on your record. The ticket fine is the small issue, at least to me.
